Touch of Love: Strengthening Aberdeen’s Communities

We are delighted to award £4,000 to Touch of Love Outreach, a charity transforming lives in Aberdeen by addressing food insecurity and fostering community resilience.

Since March 2020, Touch of Love’s Food Bank Initiative has delivered over 20,000 food parcels, supporting more than 25,000 adults and 11,000 children. With this funding, they will expand their reach, providing life-sustaining support to an additional 1,000 families who are navigating extreme challenges.

These include:

  • Families caring for disabled or seriously ill children
  • Refugees facing an uncertain future
  • Households with no access to public funds
  • Tailored training sessions led by experienced professionals

Touch of Love’s food parcels are more than just meals; they are symbols of solidarity and hope for families who feel forgotten.

The charity’s impact extends beyond food assistance. Their Young Achievers’ Club provides a sanctuary for over 450 young people from ethnic minority and refugee backgrounds, offering a space to build friendships, embrace cultural integration, and find their voices.

While the grant will specifically support the Food Bank Initiative, the ripple effect of Touch of Love’s work is profound, nurturing both immediate needs and long-term empowerment.

Thank you to the Scottish Children’s Lottery players for helping us support Touch of Love in fostering hope and resilience for Aberdeen’s most vulnerable communities. Together, we are making a tangible difference.

Sign up today and start playing for your chance to win big and give back!
