Supporting Bright Futures at Friends of Ashton

We’re thrilled to have visited Friends of Ashton to present a cheque for £4,000! This incredible charity supports Ashton Secondary in Glasgow, providing a specialised learning environment for nearly 200 young people aged 11-18 with profound and severe disabilities.

Thanks to funding made possible by the Scottish Children’s Lottery, Friends of Ashton have created a wheelchair-accessible immersive room. This innovative space uses interactive floor and wall projection systems and an Eye Gaze Tracking System to help students develop communication, motor skills, and social confidence in a calm and engaging setting.

The immersive room empowers these young people to break down barriers, build friendships, and thrive within their families and the wider community.
