We are delighted to award £4,000 to Scottish Adoption and Fostering, a remarkable charity connecting children with loving adoptive families and providing life-changing support for everyone affected by adoption.
This funding will go towards the Flock Project, which works with birth parents who have faced significant challenges and are now parenting subsequent children.
Through a range of non-judgemental activities, the project helps parents:
- Understand past traumas and the reasons for losing care of a child
- Build safe, nurturing environments for their current children
- Develop tools to foster healthy attachments and connections
The impact of this project is profound: fewer children being removed from families, stronger parent-child relationships, and improved mental well-being for parents and children alike.
